Welcome to Carnivore Origins.

These Terms & Conditions apply when you access our website, create an account, place an order, purchase a product or service, join a subscription or loyalty program, submit content, or otherwise interact with Carnivore Origins.

By using this website or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

In these terms, “Carnivore Origins”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Carnivore Origins and its skincare, retail, coaching and related business activities.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian to make a purchase through this website.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete and current.

PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT INFORMATION

Carnivore Origins produces and sells handcrafted tallow skincare, botanical preparations, body-care products, lifestyle products and related goods.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, sizes, prices and availability are accurate.

Because many products are handmade in small batches using natural ingredients:

  • Colour, scent, texture and consistency may vary slightly between batches

  • Tallow products may soften or firm with temperature changes

  • Botanical ingredients may create natural variations or sediment

  • Packaging may occasionally change while the product formula and volume remain substantially the same

These natural variations are not necessarily faults and generally do not affect product quality or performance.

Screen settings, lighting and photography may also affect how product colours appear.

INGREDIENTS, ALLERGIES AND PATCH TESTING

Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions and ingredient information before use.

Natural does not mean allergy-free. Individual sensitivities and reactions can occur with any cosmetic ingredient, including tallow, herbs, botanical extracts, essential oils, beeswax, lanolin and carrier oils.

We recommend patch-testing a small amount before wider use, particularly if you have sensitive skin, known allergies, an existing skin condition, are pregnant, are breastfeeding or are using the product on a child.

Discontinue use if irritation occurs and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary.

Products are for external use only unless clearly described as food, drink, supplement or another internally consumed product.

COSMETIC AND WELLBEING DISCLAIMER

Carnivore Origins skincare products are cosmetics intended to support the appearance, comfort, softness and condition of the skin.

They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Information provided through our website, blog, product descriptions, classes, social media, coaching or customer communications is general educational information. It does not replace individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.

Individual experiences and results vary. Testimonials describe individual customer experiences and do not guarantee that every customer will achieve the same outcome.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as a promise of a particular medical, skincare, dietary or wellbeing result.

COACHING, CONSULTATIONS AND CLASSES

Carnivore coaching, skincare consultations, classes and educational services are intended to provide general information, practical support and personal guidance within the stated scope of the service.

They do not constitute medical, psychological, dietetic or other regulated healthcare treatment unless expressly stated and provided by a suitably qualified professional.

You remain responsible for your own decisions and for seeking professional medical advice before making significant dietary, health, medication or treatment changes.

Any specific booking, cancellation, rescheduling or participation conditions displayed when purchasing a service also form part of these terms.

PRICES

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.

Prices, promotions and availability may change from time to time. A price change will not affect an order already accepted and paid for, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred.

Shipping charges and any other applicable costs are displayed before payment is completed.

We aim to ensure all pricing is accurate. If a genuine and obvious pricing or technical error affects your order, we will contact you promptly and offer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or receiving a full refund.

ORDERS

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products or services.

An order is accepted when we confirm it and receive successful payment. An automated acknowledgement does not prevent us from contacting you if there is a stock, payment, pricing or fulfilment problem.

We may contact you to verify order information or address suspected fraud, duplicate orders, stock discrepancies, delivery limitations or other genuine processing issues.

If we cannot supply an item you have paid for, we will contact you and provide an appropriate solution, which may include a refund, replacement, alternative product or revised delivery arrangement with your agreement.

PAYMENT

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may include card payments, PayPal, Afterpay or other third-party payment services.

Payment services are operated under the provider’s own terms and privacy practices.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that sufficient funds or credit are available.

Carnivore Origins does not directly store your complete payment-card details.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND RECURRING PURCHASES

Some products may be offered as recurring subscriptions.

The price, frequency and applicable discount will be displayed before you subscribe. By selecting a subscription, you authorise the applicable payment provider to charge the nominated payment method at the stated frequency until the subscription is cancelled.

You may cancel future subscription renewals through your website account where that function is available or by contacting carnivoreorigins@gmail.com.

Please cancel before the next scheduled processing date. If an order has already been processed or dispatched, it may be treated as a completed order rather than a future renewal.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

SHIPPING

Orders are shipped within Australia under the rates, timeframes and conditions displayed on our Shipping & Returns page.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates. Australia Post, courier delays, severe weather, public holidays, incorrect addresses and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an order is returned because an address was incorrect, incomplete or unattended, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. Additional postage may apply where the delivery problem was not caused by Carnivore Origins.

Please review our Shipping & Returns Policy for current rates, dispatch estimates, tracking information and return procedures.

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CONSUMER GUARANTEES

Carnivore Origins offers a voluntary 30-day satisfaction guarantee on eligible skincare purchases as described on our Shipping & Returns page.

This voluntary guarantee is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our products and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or another remedy if a product or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

We do not generally accept hygiene-sensitive skincare and personal-care products for simple change of mind. This does not limit your rights where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, unsafe, significantly different from its description or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

GIFT CARDS

Gift cards may be used in accordance with the conditions displayed when purchased or issued.

Gift cards:

  • Must be used before any stated expiry date

  • Will receive at least the minimum expiry period required by Australian law

  • Cannot generally be exchanged for cash except where required by law

  • Should be treated like cash and kept secure

  • May not be replaced if lost, stolen or used without permission unless required by law or the loss resulted from our error

If the purchase value exceeds the available gift-card balance, the remaining amount must be paid using another accepted payment method.

LOYALTY PROGRAM AND MEMBER ACCOUNTS

Carnivore Origins may offer membership benefits, loyalty points, rewards, discounts or early access.

Program rules, earning rates, redemption requirements and expiry information are displayed through the relevant loyalty pages or account area.

We may make reasonable changes to the program, including reward structures or earning rates, by providing reasonable notice where practical. We will handle existing accrued points and rewards fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

Points and rewards:

  • Have no cash value

  • Cannot be sold or transferred unless expressly permitted

  • May be cancelled if obtained through fraud, misuse or a genuine technical error

  • Are subject to any expiry or redemption conditions clearly disclosed through the program

You are responsible for keeping account login details secure and notifying us if you suspect unauthorised account use.

PROMOTIONS, DISCOUNTS AND COMPETITIONS

Promotions, discount codes, gifts with purchase, giveaways and competitions may be subject to additional conditions displayed with the offer.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotions cannot be combined

  • Discount codes must be entered before completing checkout

  • Offers apply only during the stated promotional period

  • Gifts and promotional stock are subject to availability

  • Discounts cannot generally be applied retrospectively to completed orders

Nothing in a promotional condition limits rights available under Australian law.

REVIEWS, TESTIMONIALS AND CUSTOMER CONTENT

If you submit a review, testimonial, photograph, video, comment or other content for publication, you confirm that:

  • The content reflects your genuine experience

  • You have the right to provide it

  • It does not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights

  • It is not knowingly false, defamatory, threatening or misleading

You retain ownership of your original content. Where content is submitted or approved for publication, you grant Carnivore Origins permission to reproduce, format and display it through our website, social media, email and marketing materials.

We may correct obvious spelling or formatting errors without changing the meaning of a testimonial.

You may contact us to withdraw permission for future use. We will take reasonable steps to remove the material from channels under our control, subject to the limitations explained in our Privacy Policy.

We may decline or remove content that is fraudulent, irrelevant, abusive, unlawful, contains private information or does not relate to a genuine customer experience. We will not suppress genuine negative reviews merely because they are unfavourable.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the Carnivore Origins name, branding, product names, written content, photographs, graphics, videos, formulations presented publicly, website design and other original material are owned by or licensed to Carnivore Origins.

You may view and share public website content for personal, non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution.

You must not reproduce, sell, copy, modify, publish or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

ACCEPTABLE WEBSITE USE

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or customer information

  • Introduce malicious code or interfere with website operation

  • Scrape, copy or extract website content for commercial use without permission

  • Submit false orders, reviews or account information

  • Misuse promotions, loyalty points, subscriptions or payment systems

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the business or website security.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

Our website may connect to third-party services including Wix, payment providers, Australia Post, analytics platforms and social-media websites.

Third-party services operate under their own terms, privacy policies and availability. Carnivore Origins is not responsible for third-party content or services outside our reasonable control.

WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, platform outages or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will take reasonable steps to correct significant errors or interruptions when they become known.

LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, Carnivore Origins is not responsible for loss caused by:

  • Use of a product contrary to its instructions or stated purpose

  • Failure to review ingredients or patch-test where appropriate

  • Providing an incorrect delivery address

  • Unauthorised use of an account caused by failure to protect login details

  • Reliance on general educational content as a substitute for professional advice

  • Events outside our reasonable control

Any limitation in these terms applies only to the extent it is fair, reasonable and legally permitted.

PRIVACY

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please read that policy to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how it may be used or disclosed and how to contact us about privacy concerns.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to our business, website, products, services or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on this page with its effective date. Changes apply from publication and do not retrospectively alter an order or agreement already completed unless required by law or agreed with you.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

You and Carnivore Origins submit to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Victoria, without limiting any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
